ensurem.com ONLINE PRIVACY POLICY

Updated March 20, 2023.

OUR COMMITMENT TO YOUR PRIVACY

INTRODUCTION

We want to make your experience online both satisfying and safe. This site is owned and operated by Ensurem LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (together with its affiliates, collectively, the “Company,” “we” or “us”) headquartered in Largo, Florida. We understand that you value your privacy and we want you to know that we value your privacy, too. The purpose of this privacy policy (this “Privacy Policy”) is twofold: first, it governs both the information that you provide to us and the information that we gather from you while using this website (ensurem.com) (the “Site”); second, it tells you how we may collect, use, and share this information.

Except as described in this Privacy Policy, or unless we are given permission by you, we will not sell or disclose your personally identifiable information to third parties.

WHY DO WE COLLECT YOUR INFORMATION?

Great question! We are in the business of helping consumers shop for and locate insurance plans and insurance-related products in a convenient and efficient manner (our “Services”). We accomplish this by using the Site to connect consumers with insurance companies (referred to as “Providers”). The insurance plans and insurance-related products found on the Site include term life insurance plans and annuity products, MediGap coverage, final expense plans, dental plans, home security coverage, hospital indemnity insurance, discounted health plans, and many other types of insurance and insurance-related products (see all the plans and products here). We do not issue or underwrite these plans and products; all such plans and products are issued and underwritten by Providers. Because we deal with many Providers, the more detailed and accurate the information you provide us, the better equipped we will be to provide you accurate quotes.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW WE USE IT

WHAT DO WE COLLECT AND HOW DO WE USE IT?

First: what information do we collect? When you click the “Get Quote” link for a particular insurance product, you will be directed either to another webpage on the Site where you will be prompted to provide certain personally identifiable information. As noted above, the information you provide is an essential component to obtaining an accurate quote. The specific information that you are requested to provide will depend upon the particular product or plan that you seek a quote for, but examples of personally identifiable information include:

  • First and Last Name
  • Postal Address
  • Email Address
  • Phone Number
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender

Second: how will we use that information? We will process your personally identifiable information in the manner set forth in this Privacy Policy and may also use such information for the following (and for other) purposes:

  • To deliver our products and Services to consumers, including the display of customized content and advertising;
  • To conduct research and analysis in order to maintain and improve our products and services;
  • To ensure that our system and network are functioning properly;
  • To aid our development of new services and improvement of current Services;
  • To alert you to product updates, special offers, updated information, and newly offered services. (Although you may choose to stop receiving these types of communications at any time); and
  • To contact you in response to your requests for information or to assist you with Site errors.

Furthermore, we may at times aggregate the information we obtain from you with the information we obtain from other consumers. We may use this aggregated information to improve the Site and our Services, or we may, if permitted under applicable law, disclose it to third parties. However, none of the aggregated information that is shared with third parties will contain your or any individual user’s personally identifiable information.

While we do not intend to collect personal health information (“PHI”) through the Site, we understand that it may nevertheless be submitted by you. To the extent we come into possession of your PHI, it will be used and maintained in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (2009), and other applicable laws and regulations.

Third: what does this mean? When you submit your information to receive a quote on the Site, you are expressly authorizing us (or our agents or partner companies, as the case may be) to contact you at the phone number, e-mail address, and/or mailing address you submit. We (or our agents or partner companies) may contact you to either provide you with the requested quote or to obtain additional information deemed necessary to provide the requested quote. Although the method used to contact you may vary, you authorize us to contact you via live, prerecorded, or autodialed calls, text messages, e-mails, or through physical mail. Keep in mind, you may revoke your consent to be contacted by us at any time by sending your request to info@ensurem.com. In addition, by submitting your information, you understand that we (or our agents or partner companies) may confirm the information provided by you by obtaining a consumer report, which may include your credit score and/or driving record.
